Founded in 2007, Converge is a technology solutions provider in the Philippines, with an emphasis on fiber broadband technology. It focuses on building ultra-broadband and secured fiber networks, as well as operating fixed network and fixed wireless broadband services.

Since 2014, Converge has collaborated with Huawei in areas such as home broadband, enterprise leased line, bandwidth leasing, and data center hosting. With the launch of its all-optical strategy back in 2017, Converge's home broadband service has developed rapidly. By the end of 2022, Converge's existing Fiber To The Home (FTTH) users had reached 1.9 million.

With the wide application of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, big data, and IoT, campus applications like enterprise office, education, and healthcare are rapidly increasing, posing higher requirements on campus network bandwidth, latency, and reliability.

In November 2022, Converge announced its plans to team up with technology partners to provide cutting edge Wi-Fi services throughout various airports in the Philippines. Leveraging Huawei's state-of-the-art Fiber To The Office (FTTO) solution, Converge is set to establish a robust and seamless wireless Wi-Fi network engineered to address the diverse connectivity needs of travelers and airport visitors. The Huawei FTTO solution brings to the table a suite of impressive features including high bandwidth, low latency, and simplified O&M procedures. These attributes collectively tackle the traditional pain points associated with managing wireless networks for airport customers, ensuring an efficient and reliable Wi-Fi experience.

"Converge is a pioneer in network service provisioning in the Philippines, while Huawei is known as a leader in the ICT field. We share the same vision on the advantages of network technologies and the direction in which they should evolve. This is the basis for our cooperation. We will work with Huawei to leverage the advanced optical network technologies and solutions to enable the digital transformation of the Philippine industry, achieve rapid business growth in the enterprise market, and seek new growth areas for the company," said Dennis Anthony H. Uy, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Converge.

Richard Jin, President of Huawei's Optical Business Product Line, said, "To date, more than 6,000 customers around the world have chosen Huawei's FTTO solution to build smart campuses. The cooperation between Huawei and Converge in the airport field lays out a blueprint for further successful cooperation in the enterprise network market. In the future, Huawei will continue to invest to help Converge quickly enter various industries, stimulate new growth points, and help the Philippines' digital economy take off."
