DBS3900 Distributed Base Stations
Distributed Base Stations enable radio access for small to large eLTE wireless private networks that provide services such as video surveillance, data acquisition, and data transmission. The base stations’ modular platform consists of a Base Band Unit (BBU3900) and Remote Radio Unit (RRU). Both components feature flexible installation, easy site deployment, low power consumption, and low TCO.
The DBS3900 supports bandwidth up to 100 Mbits/s, and provides higher data transmission rates for users.
This single-frame core network solution reduces the costs of GSM-R communications while it sets the stage for transforming railway communications to eLTE broadband. The eCNS300 does this by customizing and integrating three Network Elements (NEs) into a single cabinet. The solution is built on the Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (ATCA) hardware platform, which supports upgrades to eLTE. GSM-R users can replace a hardware module and upgrade the software to implement eLTE without replacing the entire system.
